Gulab Jamun is one of the traditional Indian desserts which
are easy to prepare. This delicious
dessert Gulab Jamun will be liked by all age group. The mix is readily available in super market.
Gulab Jamun is a dessert often eaten at festivals,
birthdays or major celebrations such as marriages, the Muslim celebrations of
Eid ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and the Hindu festival of Diwali (the Indian
festival of light). There are various types of gulab jamun and every variety
has a distinct taste and appearance.
Ingredients
Gulab Jamun mix powder – 200gm
Sugar – 600gm
Water – 600ml
Cardamom – 1tspn
Oil to fry
Gulab Jamun Preparation
1) Sugar syrup preparation
Keep the pan in flame add 600ml of water and 600gm
of sugar to make sugar syrup. Let the
mixture boil and keep in sim flame for five minutes until the sugar syrup reach
greasy consistency. String consistency
not required for this syrup.
2) Dove preparation
Transfer the Gulab Jamun mix in the pan adds
approximately 50ml of water to make the dove you can add diluted milk instead of water as well.
Make small balls with the dove prepared.
You can prepare approximately 40no. of small balls in this dove. Keep the frying pan in flame and add oil to
fry approximately 500ml will do. Let the
oil get heated up and main thing is you should heated up the oil in sim flame
it is very important.
Deep fry the ball after the oil get heated up and
fry till the ball turn to dark brown colour.
Remove the ball from the flame and this to the sugar syrup which was
prepared earlier. You can add rose syrup
to the sugar syrup if you required for the flavour. Keep the lid close for 5 minutes and its
ready to serve.
