Rava Kesari Recipe

Rava Kesari recipe is one of the favourite sweet in south india.  Kesari made of rava and sugar blended in ratio 1:1 and this can be called as sooji Halwa.  This kesari can be made easily with few minutes.  This is my second post in sweet previously I have posted recipe for beetroot halwa.

I have explained clearly the preparation step by step in my video especially for you.  Please watch.  This is my second post in sweet the first post I made on sweet was Beetroot Halwa and I also made for Paruppu payasam, Mysore pak, Gulab Jamun recently.

This Kesari will be made often in festive occasion or any special occasion especially in south india.  There are varieties of Kesari in sweet one of that is Rava Kesari.  I really love this sweet and we use to make this often.  I have given the ingredients below:-

Ingredients

Rava or Semolina or Sooji – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 2 cup
Cardamon – 3No.
Chashew nut – 20No.
Raisins – 20No.
Ghee – 1tbspn
Kesari colour powder – 1 pinch(if required)

Garlic Porridge

Garlic Porridge is one of the easily digestible porridge with very few ingredients.   We made this with Garlic, Rice, Green Gram, fenugreek, milk etc.   The consistency we are preparing is bit like curd rice consistency and if you want more dilute you can add milk or hot water as per the required consistency. Ingredients for Garlic Porridge Rice – 1 ¼ Cup Green mung dal / green gram – ¼ cup Fenugreek – 1 tspn Garlic – 3 Milk – 250 ml Salt to taste Transfer the rice, green gram, fenugreek in washing bowl and wash thoroughly and transfer this to pressure cooker with garlic cloves, salt and 5 glass of water for this quantity. Cook this in pressure cooker for 6 whistles. Wait till the pressure subsides in the pressure cooker and mix it will well and add the boiled milk with it and mix again.
