Mor Kuzhambu

Mor Kuzhambu or Buttermilk Kuzhambu is especially prepared in South india.  It is perfectly suits with rice and potato fry, Yam fry and plantain fry.  Mor Kuzhambu is good with Idli and dosa as well.
In this post I am going to show you how to prepare this delicious Mor Kuzhambu.

Its very easy to prepare and it will not make much time.  In this post I have explained the preparation using Ash Guard but you can prepare using ladies finger or with masal vada as well.  This Mor Kuzhambu is prepared with butter milk.  For more vegetarian recipes please check my post regularly.
This Mor Kuzhambu tastes great with steaming hot rice and the side dish as potato fry, Yam fry or plantain fry.  Ingredients for Mor Kuzhambu as follows:

Ingredients


Curd – 250gm
Ash guard – 200gm
Turmeric powder – 1 tspn

Ingredients to grind as a nice paste


Raw rice – 2 tspn
Fennel seed – 2 tspn
Cumin seed – 2 tspn
Toor daal – 2 tspn
Coconut – 6 small piece
Green chilli – 2 No.
Garlic – 7 cloves
Ginger – 1 small piece

For Seasoning


Mustard – 1tspn
Asafoetida powder  – 1tspn
Salt as required
Curry leaves – little
Oil – 2 tspn

Preparation


Cut the Ash guard in medium size cubes and cook it with little water and salt.  Mix the Curd, Turmeric powder and salt.  The mixture of Raw rice, Fennel seed, Cumin seed, Toor daal, Coconut, Green chilli, Garlic and Ginger to be soaked in water for ½ hour and grind this one as paste.  Add this paste with Curd mixture mix it in butter milk consistency and keep aside.

Heat the pan add oil let the oil heated up fry mustard, Asafoetida powder and curry leaves then add the curd mixture to this.  Keep the flame in medium flame.  After few minutes add the cooked ash guard pieces to this.  You have to switch off the at the beginning of boil point.   The delicious Mor Kuzhambu is ready to serve.  Please share my post in social media if you want to support me.
