Ingredients for Sundakkai Chutney / Turkey Berry
Chutney
Sundakkai – 150 gm
Onion – 1
Garlic cloves – 13
Green chilli – 4
Tamarind – small piece
Asafoetida Powder – ½ tspn
Salt to taste
Oil as required
For tempering
Mustard – 1 tspn
Curry leaves – little
First remove the turkey berry from stem and wash
this thoroughly. Cut the onion, peel the
skin of garlic cloves and cut the green chilli.
Keep the pan in flame and add little oil then add the turkey berry with
this and saute till it turns to white colour.
Saute the onion, garlic cloves, green chilli, tamarind and switch off
the flame and add Asafoetida powder and required salt.
Let this mixture to cool then transfer this to
blender jar and grind as a course paste and add water as per your required
consistency.
Keep the pan in flame and
add little oil and as soon as the oil get heated up, add mustard and as soon as
it crackles add curry leaves and add this to chutney. The delicious Sundakkai chutney is ready to
serve.
