Ingredients for Ash gourd sabzi
Ash gourd – 500g
Grated coconut – 4 tbspn
Curd – 3 tbspn
Cumin Seed – 1 tspn
Green cilli – 3No.
Urad dal – 1 tbspn
Mustard – 1 tspn
Curry leaves – little
Turmeric powder- ½ tspn
Coconut oil as required
Salt to taste
Keep the pan in flame and add little oil and add
the urad dal and fry to golden brown colour.
Now transfer the grated coconut, Cumin seed, Green chilli and roasted
Urad dal to blender jar and grind as paste and keep aside.
Keep the pan in flame and little water and add the
ash gourd pieces, keep the flame in sim and lid for 10 minutes. Drain the water from ash gourd and keep aside.
Keep the pan in flame and add coconut oil and
as soon as the oil get heated up add Mustard, Curry leaves then grinded paste
and add the cooked ash gourd then turmeric powder and mix it well.
Add little water and let everything blend
together. Add salt at this stage and
switch off the flame and let it cool and the curd and mix it well. The delicious Ash gourd sabzi is ready to
serve
