Black
Urad Dal Halwa is very good for those who are having back pain and especially
for teenage boys and girls. Its very
simple and easy to prepare and will not take much time. Black Urad Dal Kali is the traditional recipe
in south india and its one of my grandma recipe.

Ingredients for Black Urad Dal Halwa
Black
Urad Dal – 1 cup
Jaggery
– 1 ½ cup
Sesame
Seed oil – ½ cup
Rice
Flour – 3 tbspn
Dry
ginger powder – ½ tspn
Cashew
nut as required
First
dry roast the black urad dal and rice flour and let this to cool. Keep the pan in flame and add the jaggery and
little water and wait till the jaggery pieces got melted and as usual filter
the jaggery syrup. Now
grind the roasted black urad dal to nice coarse powder.
For
this quantity we need 4 glass of water 1 of glass of water is there in jaggery
syrup the balance 3 cups water add in the pan and keep in flame and as soon as
the water get heated add this black urad dal powder to the water and mix it
well then add the rice flour and dry ginger powder and mix it well.
Now
add the jaggery syrup and mix it well without lumps and keep in sim flame when
this become little dense add the sesame seed oil and mix well
continuously. Finally the Urad dal
powder get cooked and woos out the oil and this is the stage to switch off the
flame. The delicious Black urad dal kali
is ready to serve.
