Pongal Recipe

Pongal recipe or Ven Pongal recipe is one among the famous dish in South india.  Especially this is very tasty and healthy breakfast.  It is made of rice and moong daal.  If you go anywhere in tamil nadu for the morning breakfast definitely you get this dish in all vegetarian hotels.  Pongal or Ven Pongal is one of the tastiest and healthiest breakfast.

For the pongal festival we are making this pongal along with the sweet pongal.  On festival days especially for Saraswathi pooja we will keep this Pongal or Ven Pongal as naivedhyam to saraswathi devi.  Whatever we know on vegetarain I am started sharing through this blog and my youtube channel.  Ingredients for Pongal or Ven Pongal recipe I had given below just for you.

Ingredients for Pongal or Ven Pongal recipe

Raw Rice - 1 cup
Moong daal - 1/2 cup
Black Pepper - 2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 2 tsp
Ginger - 1inch
Curry leaves - small amount
Asafoetida - 3 pinch
Cashew nut - 10No.
Oil - 2 table spoon
Salt as required

Ash gourd sabzi is very easy to prepare and its very tasty as well.   As all know ash gourd plays a major role in weight loss, very good blood purifier and it helps to clean the stomach.   So we are very happy to share this wonderful recipe.
