Potato Wedges without Oven

Potato wedges you can prepare at home without oven and its crispy and tasty.  You can serve this one as evening snack along with coffee or tea everyone in home will definitely like this.  Potato is all time favorite  for mostly every one and if you prepare in this way everyone will definitely like this.  So prepare and enjoy! Ingredients for Potato Wedges Potato – 4 Maida – 1 cup Garlic – 1 medium size Ginger – 2 inch piece Corn flour – ¼ cup Chilli powder – 1 ½ tbspn Turmeric powder – ½ tspn Pepper – ½ tspn Ajwain – 1 tspn Salt to taste Oil required to deep fry First thoroughly wash the potato and cut into wedge shape, then keep the pan with water in flame and add all the wedge shaped potato to the water.  You have to keep this boiling for 4 to 5 minutes and drain the water completely and let this to cool. Coconut Milk Rice

Coconut Milk Rice is one of the lunch box recipe which everyone can prepare within 30 minutes in the busy morning for lunch box.  How to prepare fresh coconut milk we have made a separate post on this please.  For rest of the procedure please go through this post. Ingredients for Coconut Milk Rice Rice – 1 ½ cup Coconut Milk – 4 cups Onion – 2 Ginger – Small piece Garlic Cloves – 7 Green Chilli – 3 Mint leaves – little Coriander leaves – little Cashew nut – 10 Bay leaf – 1 Cinnamon – small piece Aniseed – 1 or 2 Salt to taste Oil or Ghee Thoroughly was the rice and soak for 30 minutes and drain the water completely.  Peel the skin of Ginger and garlic cloves transfer this to blender jar along with green chilli and make as a paste.  Keep the pressure cooker in flame and add ghee and as soon as the ghee heated up add bayleaf, cinnamon, aniseed, Cashew, Onion and saute the onion for 2 minutes then the grinded paste of Garlic, Ginger and Gree

Dates Pickle

Dates Pickle is very easy to prepare and its very tasty to eat.   If you make this pickle you will wonder about the taste and it tastes amazing.   Everyone will definitely like this and you will be surprised you can make pickle out of dates. Ingredients for Dates Pickle Dates – 1 cup Ginger – small piece Garlic cloves – 7 Red chilli powder – 1 tspn Turmeric powder – ½ tspn Mustard – 1 tspn Asafoetida powder – ½ tspn Green Chilli – 5 Red chilli – 2 Salt as required Sesame Seed Oil as required Remove the seeds in Dates peel the skin and chop garlic cloves, ginger, chop the green chilli, break the red chilli in to 4 pieces.   Keep the sesame seed oil and add the mustard, Green chilli, Red chilli, Garlic cloves, Chilli powder, Turmeric Powder, Asafoetida powder and Salt.   Now add around ¾ glass of water and let the water to boil. Rava Adai

Rava Adai is one of the easy instant adai you can make this within 30 minutes.  Instead of daily routine breakfast it will be bit different recipe using Rava and Poha as main ingredients. Its very tasty and crispy as well. Ingredients for Rava Adai Rava – 1 cup Poha – 1 cup Onion – 1 cup Tomato – 1 Capsicum – 1 Coriander leaves – little Chilli powder – 2 tspn Turmeric Powder – ½ tspn Salt to taste Oil or Ghee First thoroughly wash the Poha and sprinkle water in poha, second soak the rava in water for 10 minutes.  Chop the Onion, Tomato, Capsicum and Coriander leaves.  After 10 minutes add all the ingredients including rava and poha in mixing bowl mix it well to thick consistency. Black Urad Dal Kali

Black Urad Dal Halwa is very good for those who are having back pain and especially for teenage boys and girls.   Its very simple and easy to prepare and will not take much time.   Black Urad Dal Kali is the traditional recipe in south india and its one of my grandma recipe. Ingredients for Black Urad Dal Halwa Black Urad Dal – 1 cup Jaggery – 1 ½ cup Sesame Seed oil – ½ cup Rice Flour – 3 tbspn Dry ginger powder – ½ tspn Cashew nut as required First dry roast the black urad dal and rice flour and let this to cool.   Keep the pan in flame and add the jaggery and little water and wait till the jaggery pieces got melted and as usual filter the jaggery syrup.   Now grind the roasted black urad dal to nice coarse powder. Amla Juice

Amla Juice is one among the healthiest juice and its very easy to prepare.  Amla is rich in vitamin C and it will improve immune power of the body.  Summer starts so we think of sharing with you all. It will not take much time and its very valuable juice. Ingredients for Amla Juice Gooseberry – 4 Ginger – small piece Salt – little Jaggery as required Lemon – 1 First wash the Gooseberry thoroughly and cut and remove the seed only, peel the skin of ginger and cut in to pieces.  Transfer the ginger, cut amla pieces, salt and Jaggery in blender and grind as a paste then add ½ glass of water and grind again.
